RIVER BANK FABRICS & MORE is a destination quilt shop, located in a small town on the west edge of Illinois. It’s obvious why the shop has “RIVER” in its name. It’s along the Mississippi River. “BANK” actually came because we’re housed in an old bank.
The building was constructed in 1851 as a large house, then in 1919, it became a bank. It is a unique building; creaky old wood floors and four safes. One of the four safes is the discount area and I encourage customers to “ROB THE BANK”! I knew this building would be a great location for a quilt shop, when it went up for sale in 2012.
I grew up sewing all my life, mostly garment construction. My mom and aunts were wonderful seamstresses. And later in life, they liked piecing.
In 2015, I began selling BERNINA machines.
Fabric, machines and fun customers are a great combination. RIVER BANK FABRICS & MORE is a creative, fun place to be!
